Susan Lawrence has worked miracles. Susan has a deep and wide knowledge of injury and how the body works. She quickly identifies what the issue is and then tackles it. Because she understands the spine and other anatomy so well, she immediately gets to the heart of the problem and fixes it. My daughter who is a runner, had been injured for 6 months with no improvement and very little hope. Two visits after meeting Susan, she felt “normal” again and her body wasn’t in pain. She had immediate positive results thanks to Susan’s insight and treatments. Susan was wonderful explaining anatomy, what she was doing during the procedures, why the body was in pain, and why progress wasn’t being made previously. Susan gently instructed her on how to do the exercises to receive the best benefit, showed her how to properly align her hips and spine on her own, and got her quickly back to health. Susan is very gifted as a PT but she also is very organized and extremely easy to work with – returning emails and messages promptly and following up on progress throughout the week. She has a wonderful way about her and the results of her work are utterly amazing. Every time we left her office, my daughter felt the progress she was making. The progress my daughter has made in just one month is stunning. I cannot say enough about the work that Susan does, how she wants for you to be healthy, and her ability to see the body in a different way than most PTs might. Her method is quick and sensible and makes so much sense and she truly cares about the patient and her work. I cannot recommend her work enough. — Laurie W.
I required therapy after revision of a failed lumbar fusion last summer. My surgeon’s office gave me the names of four therapists and recommended that I select from that list. I made the right choice with Susan. She is smart and professional, dedicated and supportive, overall an excellent therapist. I’ve had a lot of physical therapy, in- and outpatient, over the past several years. I had some great therapists. Most were competent, and a few were awful. Susan is the best. I feel stronger, healthier and more confident than I have in years, and am grateful to her bringing me to this point. She is also very cool. — Karen M.
After tearing two muscles in my shoulder, I was given three options by the surgeon...PT, shoulder repair (surgery) or replacement (surgery). The surgical options would also require multiple months of PT. My wife referred me to Susan. Susan was caring, methodical and patient. She guided me through six months of PT and returned my shoulder to about 90% functionality ... that's really good for an octogenarian's shoulder. Thank you, Susan! — Tony K.
Sue was professional and caring while being so accommodating to my hectic schedule. She took care of the problem with accuracy and without wasting any unnecessary time. I recommend Sue highly. — Eva
After 5 months of physical therapy for my knees at another office, I experienced some of the worst runner’s knee pain I’ve ever felt during a 50K. At this point, I felt defeated and like I would have to give up my running. A friend recommended Susan because of her focus on alignment and after one visit, I felt a sense of hope. Susan looked beyond my knee pain and investigated my hip and pelvic alignment. Within a few visits, we were able to make a huge difference in how I stand, walk, and run. What makes Susan stand out as a practitioner is that she takes the time to assess and reassess the issue, trying multiple solutions and approaches until results are achieved. Each week, she would email me the diagrams and descriptions of exercises to complete at home, holding me accountable to be an active participant in my own rehabilitation. She also took before and after videos of my running and walking so I would be able to see the improvements accomplished. Susan looks at the root of the problem and puts her effort into alignment and structure, building a strong foundation to allow for further recovery.
Thank you again for all the work on getting my hips in line and teaching me how to walk & run properly again!

After an MRI revealed a tear to the meniscus in my knee, I consulted two highly regarded orthopedic surgeons. Both recommended immediate surgery, although the knee was not causing pain, rather just persistent swelling over several months. Rather than pursue the surgery, I consulted Susan Lawrence as a physical therapist. She immediately grasped that the injury had created a misalignment of the bones in my leg at the knee—something neither surgeon noticed—and identified that as the main cause of the swelling and discomfort. In two sessions she had righted the alignment. As a result the swelling in my knee immediately, completely, and permanently went away. I’ve been doing intensive exercise several times a week since then and I’ve had no discomfort in my knee. Thank you so much, Susan! Seeing you was a great medical decision. I avoided an unnecessary, expensive, and risky surgery! I saved thousands of dollars and continued playing sports uninterrupted. I can’t thank you enough for giving me back a healthy knee and an active life.

I was involved in a serious car accident a few months ago, suffered multiple fractures and was in pretty rough shape. Within a few weeks of seeing Susan I was already experiencing huge improvements in mobility and strength, now I am feeling the best I have in a long time and I credit that to her therapy. In our sessions she had the experience to know exactly when to keep pushing me and when to ease up and the gains I saw week to week were amazing. I would highly recommend her as a exceptional and knowledgeable physical therapist. — Michael
I came to Sue with back pain that had gone on well over a year and a lot of fear and frustration. Her warmth and good humor immediately set me at ease and her careful attention and clear skillfulness led to diminished pain at the first session. Sue stuck with me through a complicated recovery and helped me find relief through her manual work and recommended exercises. I am incredibly grateful to Sue for my vastly improved condition and for giving me tools to continue to correct my alignment and rebuild strength. — Karen
